Today I've been giving the level select a bit of love. I aim to provide it with the look of the classic 80s kid show "Postman Pat". The original show had an intro that follows Pat through a series of lanes. That's the inspiration behind where I'm taking the level select screen. 

With that in mind, I've started introducing some houses and hills. The same houses can also be seen on the first level too. They're based on Welsh mining cottages.

This update also includes a change to the lighting and a reduction in the overall filesize of the game. Down to 30Mb from 70Mb. Buuuuut I'm worried the lighting used may have a big impact on performance.

Outside of this update I've also been working on the look of the character select screen. Here's a mock up from this morning.
